A lovely visit.....

 I thought I'd share our almost 2 feet of fresh snow 

and its snowed over night again and its still snowing.....

 Look at my neighbors greenhouse....

 I love when the trees are covered...

 Look at Mr. Moose's nose all white from digging out branches...

we kept hoping he would show while are visitors were here

but of course no....

 George never makes it too long in the deep snow and he wants up 

just like a toddler.....

 Here was our three guests...the one in the middle is studying

to be a music teacher and the other two are going to be pastors....

the one on the right was Swedish and he noticed some of my 

Dala horses....so his friends asked him to say something in Swedish

So he did and after They asked what he said was " I hope Heidi can read 

the Swedish Blogs" made me laugh.

Super wonderful young men and what a fabulous concert they put on....all 60 of them!

 Mimi, Josie and Cory went out to build a tunnel in the front yard....

 Cory .....drum roll passed the Geography Bee test and is on to

state at the end of the month.....Say a prayer for him!

 Look at the snow miners...hard at work!

Sick of my tulips yet....hehe!!

The buffet at church was wonderful

 and the women won the contest of the cook off!

The guys on the way home that night I was asking them how the

Bear and Musk ox was....they said delicious!

I stuck to the sea food and it was wonderful!

Spring In & Winters Out.....WOW!

 On Saturday I met a friend for lunch,

 and went shopping for groceries (no thrifting)

 treated my self to some Tulips as I have so enjoyed looking at all of yours....

 We have been having such mild weather....

 and then it started to snow here we had 12inches of fresh

snow yesterday afternoon...

 This morning we have about another foot of snow....

 Yikes.....

 a Winter Wonderland....

Today was my kids first snow delay ever....2 hours late! 

 Tonight our church is having a concert with MLC choir....

 We are hosting 3 men in our home....

 Mimi is not sure she wants a stranger in her bed......

  Were having an Alaskan themed potluck, I heard 

someone is bringing a Bear roast , I might pass on some of the game meat....

I am bringing my Seafood nachos.....It will be fun!

I will try and get some pictures of the dinner.

Swifty the Turtle....

 Well it was Swifty the Turtle that made the cut this time.....

along with his family.

 Swifty is from the Enesco company

 made back in the 1950's...

 I will share the kitchen re-do next week, I had to 

work in my new funky orange canister set

 and Swifty looks great with them.

and heres Mr. Moose back for his daily hello, 

only he's a little tired today!

We were in a warm weather pattern up here and

well I commented on Birdie blue's magical winter scene

well what do you think we got last night our own lovely magical 

dumping of snow.....next time no comment!  smile

 It does look fresh and clean again....AND

It was a bit early to have the spring bug....

Some Thrifted re-do's decorated into the mix!

 Well remember my previous thrifted tree and the birds that I found this

previous Saturday, well they inspired this new change....

 this poor living room wall is always changing from this...

 to this...

 to now this....

 George on neighborhood watch....

 for now I wont repaint these like I had wanted to a week ago...

 Now look at this dirty thing I know when I purchased it my fellow thrifters were thinking

 I had lost my marbles.....

 But over at Nadine's I had seen her flutterby post

 and was so inspired to have my own, now I had wanted the base black but my helper

insisted on pink.....we loved the outcome!

 Then going through my stash I discovered this treasure again.....

 it had this taped to the back of it....Do really think it's this old?

 I had had it in the shop for sale and then well it ended up in my house

does this surprise you....

Right at home our flutterby.....perfecto!

although it was a little cooler this morning it still feels like Spring is 

in the air, somewhere.....

Thrifting part 2

 How amazing is this necklace....

 with this J Crew blouse and vintage Darlene sweater.

 A little poodle avon bottle to add to Mimi's collection

along with these vintage gloves.....in case she wants to be proper!

 I loved this little bathroom mirror....

 I wish I had bought the other 2 sets now also.....dumb!

 This sweet little 1958 set of cookbooks for $1

 Ok this little guy has been our tried and true friend

 since about a month ago when we had to replace our water softener

and dumped the remaining old salt here....

 So yesterday I found him pulling off the tarp on the 4-wheeler

Can't you picture him thinking does this lever start this baby up...

let me just gnaw on it for a while....

He is a yearling and he's quite cute you can see his little horn buds coming up.
