A thrifty find....

 I found this beautiful Anthropologie cup and saucer

yesterday at the thrift shop....With a little side of wildflowers!

 I loved the colors.

I can't wait to show you what I found a few weeks ago,

That will be next!

A Big Hello.....

 We had such a fun weekend with this little guy.....he's so sweet!

 George loves him to with one or two exceptions.

He does not share his ratty toy or his Mommas lap

when he wants it.....they are so cute together!

 George was getting tired of all the potty trips outside

but he's always watching.....

 busy weekend Jerry had.....in the plants.

 in school....

 investigating....

 napping....

and trying to figure out how I get passed this big guy

because I want to sit on Mom's lap too!

Our newest addition.......

Meet our newest family member having his first accident....

He is so precious and George is behaving like a good big brother

I'm so proud of him.....were taking it slow though!

Jerry is English Cocker Spaniel and Labrador mix.

There were 9 in the litter so if any one locally is interested

 Lupine are out in full force.....stretches of them.

At the lake the Wild roses are out. 

Soon the one around the house will be blooming too!

This is one long week!

Today on my walk someone was telling me they had seen 

6 Brown bears in their yard just outside of town, 

not all at once but different bears at different times......yikes!

I hope your all having as lovely weather as we are

I have all my windows open today.....bliss!

My Dream Home.......

 I happened upon this lovely blog a week or so ago

and fell madly in love with her home....

 It was built in 1818 and it is such a treasure....

 I love how they restored it to its original glory....

 and the way she has decorated inside and outside

 is amazing!

 I have kitchen envy....

 Look at this view....

 Beautiful Norway.....

I sat and drank a pot of coffee with Phil this morning

and we oohed and awed over every beautiful detail.....

and the view through her windows

 is just as breathtaking as the view inside....

I went to Homer with a friend and the kids yesterday,

we couldn't resist a picture for her to take home!

we have been having rain lately!

Mixed up post.....

 I don't don't know about you but for me this summer

every thing seems to be rushed.....But in a good way!

Three weeks ago the kids and I joined a small group from school

and have started walking and biking almost everyday around 5 miles....Its been so good

for all of us....and It wears the kids out (less fighting) yeah!

 I don't know if you remember

 when Mimi and I joined a friend for our first attempt at pottery....

I think although slightly Misshapen my birdhouse and owls

turned out cute....like something a 7th grader would be proud to bring home to mom....

 Mimi was so excited to see our finished projects from this super fun day!

 You all know that I collect Starbucks mugs and my newest treasure

a friend brought me back this amazing Boston mug....

I love these and use them everyday, I always find it fun

to drink my tea and coffee from a different place....so you can imagine

at a garage sale on Friday.....I was so excited to find these 3 mugs

Shanghai, Hong Kong and Colorado.

Someone had a fun trip!

I'm beyond excited.....

 I have been looking for a funky vintage couch for a year now...

 and everyone has been telling me to look on craiglist for a while now

and so yesterday I gave it a try and this vintage vinyl couch was 

on for $40

Its just perfect....great condition

AND 

comfortable......

slowly my Mid Century room is coming together

one piece at a time.

Just for Fun.....

A girlfriend sent Phil this yummy peach preserves from Texas
for his birthday weeks ago....and we finally gave it a try
on our sourdough blueberry waffles the other morning.....
sooooo good!
Maybe everything is bigger and better in Texas.....

A Day at the lake......or three....

 My boys have been going fishing with a friend......

who can drive even better, for the last couple of days.

 So a friend came over and the three of us went out to join

them for a little fun!

 Mimi was having fun but....

 was soon put to fishing by her brothers......

George came with us too, but he never stopped investigating long enough

to have his picture taken!

When we first got there and they cast out Mimi's line George saw that little bobber

fly he took off after in the water.....silly pooch!

 Our guest cooked them up for us and .....they were delicious!

What a great way to end each day......

I have sourdough blueberry pancakes for them this morning.

Last night I came home with some rhubarb from a friends garden

and I mentioned I was going to make a Strawberry rhubarb pie

with it and we heard our guest say he was going to have to stick around for some......

so cute!
