Visitors.......

 Our Niece and Nephew are up visiting from the Seattle area

for a couple of weeks......

 So yesterday we too advantage of our lovely weather

 and went for a hike.

 Upper Skilak Lake, it was over 80 degrees. 

 Its just stunning!

 I finished my painting finally and I love it

more about that later though.

I had such a fun surprise visit from Diane and Amanda

 I have been following her blog for a

number of years now and to finally meet face to face

was such a delight!

A rambling post....

 Mimi and I found this groovy Barbie case last week......

 and some of you maybe remember me talking about wanting to paint 

my trim white on this half of the house....well I'm finally starting this huge

project....the worst is all the prep work!

 Then I can be as happy as Barbie in her new digs....

 This little stinker as I was taping off the floors and windows

was coming behind me ripping it all off.....he's like a little kid!

look at those eyes though.....sorry Mommy.

 We hit 80 degrees  yesterday and so Mimi and I walked the boardwalk

along the Kenai river after playing in the park.....

 and watched them fish for a while....

 It was such a lovely day and with the breeze, no bugs!

and last but not least heres the fireweed as promised!

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

 Today our oldest turned 18, I can't believe it.....
(Note the mess behind him, I started a home improvement project)

He asked for a reloading kit, 

so he was busy getting it all set up today.

then he has a camping trip planned with his buddies!

Meet Daisy....

 Its a long story on how we came about Miss Daisy

but it was a sign when we came upon a fluke yard sale

 and in the yard was a rabbit hutch, the feeder and water tube for $5

 well lets just say how could you pass that up

so Daisy has a new home and boy, she is a snuggler......

 our wild roses are still in bloom and now

 the fireweed is starting to show.....

Happy 4th of July......

 I posted these pictures a few years ago and since I woke up to rain this morning

I thought why not share a sunny 4th......

Are Lupine crop this year is amazing and I went to Homer

and Anchorage this last week but both days were overcast but 

I wish I'd stopped so I could share.....some areas just look like fields of them.....
