Friday I spent the day outside with Phil and the kids
getting everything put away and buttoned up for snow
which they keep predicting yet it has not come, yeah!
as you can see I didn't prep the house for this picture
but I loved the glow from the fire so I thought I'd share.
I digress
so Friday night Mimi and I got invited to a party/sleepover
in Homer and I was a little tired but Mimi was so excited as was my friend and her
daughter, I agreed.
well I woke up the next morning with the flu
and everything else that comes with it.
I was so embarrassed!
So after laying in bed all day/bored
I thought I would share some photos from one of my favorite magazines
that they cancelled a few years back.
love this room
How peaceful would this be to live near the river
except during flood season.
these images to get me in the mind set for winter.
silent night
especially love this interior
well I'm back to enjoying my coffee this morning
among the living.
without sounding to sappy
I wanted to thank all of you for your lovely comments
and kind words, they mean so much and are deeply treasured!
Happy week to you all!
Sorry you were not feeling well. Isn't it a shame that they stopped publishing so many lovely magazines? (but continue to publish so many icky ones.)

Your house is always gorgeous ... no need for styling!
That picture of your place is so cosy & inviting! Our computer has been on the go slow this last week, so I haven't been around much, looks like you've been busy, glad you had a nice trip away catching up with your friend, and I hope you are feeling very much better & that you've seen the last of the flu for this year! Enjoy your coffee, I was busting for my coffee this morning that I pick up at the same place almost everyday, yet today they put sugar in it, BLAGH! Looks like I'll have to make myself a dull old instant! xx

Chris :o)
Your house looks so nice and cozy :) Hope you feel better soon, I've been knocked sideways by bronchitis these past couple of weeks, must be that change of season thing, eh?
ReplyDeleteI will say this... There is nothing more beautiful than living along a river. We did.... Then we were ravaged by a flood!! This was in 1979 & we were flooded well into the 1st floor with all the most smelly & toxic stuff you could imagine.
ReplyDeleteWe repaired... waited... sold & moved to the mountains... no flooding here & if there is then the whole world is in deep trouble!! LOL!!
Marilyn
SNOW!!! you lucky thing...I hope you’re feeling a bit better now!

ReplyDeleteYour home looks so warm and cosy, and I prefer to see real rooms as they are!
The magazine pics are lovely and great for ideas - what a shame they stopped that one.
Keep warm!

Oh, that's awful when you're somewhere else and you get sick. I hope you're much better by now. I hate to see the magazines disappearing, they're one of my vices, now I can't do it much. Diane
