My life is so busy at the moment
that I just need to take a break in Blog land till after
Thanksgiving......and then
it will be time to decorate for Christmas!
I wanted to share this letter I found in an old book the other day
I wonder who Ross was and how they knew each other?
See you in a few weeks
Take care,
Heidi
enjoy your break! enjoy your family time, too.
ReplyDeleteTake a break ... enjoy your time getting ready for Thanksgiving. I look forward to your return when you are good and ready. M x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find in the letter... I appreciate his sentiments, "It sure does cost". This was 1947 and it still cost a lot in 2012 for home projects.
ReplyDeleteYou just enjoy your time off and we're looking forward to when you're back again! :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, I've wondered too what the stories were behind some of the little notes I've found in books! I always check mine before I send them to the charity shop, although mine usually has the gas bill or something else just as boring, that I've used as a bookmark! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I so understand - thanks for your comments when I was in the same boat! I'll be pretty busy again once this current holiday is over, but I'm loving having a bit of work and a bit of time with the boys for now...
ReplyDeleteI found a letter to my mum from my head teacher in an old recipe book - the teacher was replying to a letter from my mum where she complained that I hadn't been able to eat any of the lunches served two days in a row! It was a real insight into the adults' view of my childhood traumas... (and I was a good eater, but moving to Scotland and encountering badly mashed turnips for the first time was too much for me...) Have a good break.
Enjoy your break Heidi, see you when you get back :) Tam x
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time away from the blog!
ReplyDeleteTake care of you xx
ReplyDeleteOh I can hear you...life is just about to get a whole lot busier...love your fall colours...enjoy your break. xoxo
ReplyDeleteJust as I thought. When I read that signature I thought I knew that name. (Unfortunately I don't know the people anymore, they probably are offspring or grandchildren by now) but there are some people named Ross Elliot listed in the Buffalo phone book. Buffalo is where I grew up. Small world. Have fun getting ready for the holidays. Diane
ReplyDeleteLook forward to your return!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time and I can't wait to see your Christmas decorating.
