My First...and the beginning of it all...

 I think I may have been 19 or 20 at the time I was on a trip and

walked into a antique store and this picture was hanging 

for $6.....it was love at first sight!

I use to dream how the inside of this home was decorated....

 Its just so peaceful and romantic looking by the sea.

So from this painting started my great love of all thing old

you wonder what the previous owner thought of it......

who she or he was...thats the beauty of old and tattered things they all have a great story 

to tell.....I remember I tried to walk right on the plane with this picture under

my arm....thats a whole other story!

 I had to laugh this morning my poor tulips held

out till Easter.....

 While putting away Easter I was inspired to change out my wall...

 Phil's birthday we celebrated last night with some friends.....

It was very nice!

I can't wait to see how all of your weekends were....

Good Friday......Friday Flowers!

 A girlfriend asked if I could have a use for this trunk....

I adore the fabric!

 She also brought me this lovely bouquet of flowers.......

such a sweet treat!

 This is what I ended up doing with my birds in the dining room for Easter....

 I'll pop a pink candle in for the special day and probably burn the birds up knowing me

I drive Phil crazy with candles.....

I still have to iron my tablecloth.....

Good Friday service tonight!

This vintage hand made dress I picked up for a friend for $2 

Yes were already planning our next Mad Men party.....can't wait!

 It has so many lovely details that don't show up in its wrinkled

condition......I'm going to let her dry clean it....

 I found these pretty cookies at target....

as I get older its the little things I get most excited about!

Do you have any special traditions?

I love watching my kids sleepy little faces when they

first wake up and see the little eggs laying around the house and

the hunt begins......then getting all dressed up and heading off to

church.....to hear the wonderful message!

This year Phil's birthday lands on Easter so the kids and I are 

plotting something nice for him....

So Long winter......

 It's been glorious here in Alaska, we have had lovely temps

in the mid to high 40's during the day....

 Another month or so and all the lakes will be open again.

 The snow is melting fast now, we still have a ton of it to go still.....

and these little guys will have a chance to gain weight and eat to 

their hearts content.....

This little girl has been living with the neighbors horses

she just moved right in and they all get along... I think they knew 

she was a fellow friend in need!
