A gloomy day.....and I'm procrastinating!!!

 Today I should be doing many things,

playing in the woods with George

 and Mimi's doll furniture is not one of them.

 but oh well ,here I am and we had fun if I do say so myself.

 as you can see we lost our leaves a while ago.

 we have had a lot of rain ,no complaints though.

any day now this will be all under a blanket of white.

all though it warmed up in the 40's again.

well I guess I should get back to my chore list.

 Friday I spent the day outside with Phil and the kids

getting everything put away and buttoned up for snow

which they keep predicting yet it has not come, yeah!

 as you can see I didn't prep the house for this picture

but I loved the glow from the fire so I thought I'd share.

I digress

so Friday night Mimi and I got invited to a party/sleepover

in Homer and I was a little tired but Mimi was so excited as was my friend and her

daughter, I agreed.

well I woke up the next morning with the flu

and everything else that comes with it.

I was so embarrassed!

 So after laying in bed all day/bored

I thought I would share some photos from one of my favorite magazines 

that they cancelled a few years back.

 While vacuuming today,

 ( I don't know why the dust bunnies 

always like to have their get togethers here) but it gave me

inspiration for my post.

and this amazing birdhouse was dropped off on my doorstep.

I love it, I think it looks Swedish.

I spent the day in Homer with a friend and her friend who's visiting

yesterday. the weather was lovely and the mountains were out

but I was driving so it was hard to get some pictures.

But I can't wait to share some of the local talent from the art galleries.

Does anyone have a good squash soup recipe

I have been playing around with different recipes

off the internet and have almost made my whole pot

inedible.....help!

I'm Grateful for.....

 I drove up to Anchorage last weekend with a girlfriend.

 I had such a great time.

 The drive was spectacular and the Trumpeter Swans were so beautiful.

 But I'm most grateful for my computer being fixed again.

My boys and I had an accident with Kool Aid and the computer.

I thought it was toast but the tech called me yesterday and he had it fixed

in about an hour, the one thing that saved me was the drink being sugar free.

and it only costed me $70

I'm one Happy Camper now I'm off to catch up with

all of You.

A little Spooky!!

 I love Halloween....

 I love to unpack and spend the day decorating.

 I love these sweet planters

 anyway I thought I would share a few little spooks

do any of you decorate for Halloween?

I admire those homes in town that go all out for Halloween decorations in there yards.

I must admit I tend to like the sweeter side of this spooky holiday!
