I wanted to share this vintage blanket and what I thought was a hat
and found out its a plant pot cover from the 60's......that I thrifted
over Christmas vacation.
I got a bunch of paper whites at home depot for $3 that I have planted
for a little taste of Spring...to soon?
Our temps have been way below zero at night, with a high of zero during the day
sooooooo cold!!!
Must become a book owl with these long winter night ahead....
I bought these 2 books just for there covers......
Today has been long awaited the kids are back in school
and even hubby is gone today.....packed them all lunches and sent them on there
merry little way........long awaited peace after having them home for two weeks!
I'm off to see how all of you are doing.
Our temps never got out of the teens today & tonight we will go below zero!! I feel like I am in Alaska too!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pot cover.... When I first saw it I thought it was a hat too!!
LOL!!
Have a Great Day!!
Marilyn
That 'hat' is awesome!!! :-) Curious to see how it would look as a planter though...
ReplyDeleteOver here it is soooo warm, for the time of year that is. I'm missing the wintry-feeling...
Pretty books! Glad you've had some peace and quiet. Must admit I'm looking forward to a child free day on Thursday.

Oh, I love the pink glass. You could use that for a hat if you wanted! Enjoy your peace and quiet Heidi. It's not that cold here. Today it was 54 degrees. I talked to Amanda and she said it was 2. Brrrrrr! Stay warm up there. Diane
ReplyDeleteOh my what goodies you found! I love the owl! I remember those blankets!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Lisa
Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteIt would have been so funny if you had worn it as a hat! Will you put a plant in it? Weird to know you are so cold when it's so muggy here, not to mention far too wet. Crappy summer so far.
ReplyDeletePeace, it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBlimey that is cold Brrrrrrr. Really like the 60's plant pot cover that is sweet. And those book covers are lovely. Im back at work today its going to be hard getting into the swing of it. The boys are back at school tomorrow. Enjoy your peace and enjoy the rest of your week, dee x

ReplyDeleteOur paper whites are out already!Good job they're not outside at the moment, never mind hanging on to your plant pot cover, more like hang on to your chimney pot...my garden looks like a tornado hit it! I think I may have written one of those books in your titles, in a past life,lol....I'll leave you to guess which?!!Have a good rest of the week in peace, Heidi.x
ReplyDeletei can only imagine how good it must have felt to reclaim your home for yourself. :)
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love all those pretty shades of green. The paperwhites will be so pretty when they start to bloom!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that is cold. My husband is in the snow & war in Afghanistan & i'm here, pool side, or at the beach, soaking up the sun & fun, it's so weird how a married couple can live such seperate lives.
ReplyDeleteOur children get long school holidays over Summer (now) & mine go back last out of the entire country, no idea why my territory is on it's own time line, but we're loving it. Love Posie
You found some sweet finds! I am growing some paperwhites too, but they are taking their time. Perhaps they know just when to bloom - when things are cold & gray!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Zuzu
