a piece that I got to share with friends....the goal was to find some shoes

for the evening and I found the perfect pair finally.......

Greetings from Mexico.......

 Carroll my neighbor has been spending a few months in Mexico

the last few years......can we say jealous!

 While were stuck in the snowbanks of Alaska, 

she is enjoying 15 foot poinsettias. 

 I enjoyed these so much I wanted to share them with you.....

 This is my favorite, Bailey her dog enjoying a siesta!

A Very Special Moose for you.....

A friend of mine took this picture

and I thought you would all enjoy them as much as I did,

they make a cute little family!

We have been having nothing but rain and everything is sloppy,

slushy and slippery....just yucky!

Temps in the 40's are nice though, I must say.

I have been busy cleaning for my party coming up

February 1st......you know the parts you only clean once a year.

I found this cute chalkboard yesterday with a friend

while we were looking for a vintage dress for her to wear.....

we even found her great shoes! 

 I had to share one of my favorite Christmas gifts....

how happy are these little guys to wake up to

in the morning!

 I cleaned the kitchen and switched it out to blue and white....

 This is what I woke up to yesterday morning....

 the color was spectacular....

What treasures does your phone hold?

 Today while out on a walk,

 I had my phone with me and I passed by this amazing

old ambulance truck....so I snapped a picture of it and it got me thinking

what have I taken pictures of to share that I have forgotten about,

turns out I had quite a few so here goes.....

 Check out this amazing suitcase a friends daughter found on her

travels over in Europe......she has quite an eye for fabulous treasures!

I had a blast looking through her pictures.

A little Lunch.....

 I had some friends over lunch yesterday......

 So I thought I would share some of my new thrifted dishes.

 I think there fun for a change.

 We had a Kale salad, I'm addicted, I think I eat this

salad in different ways 5-6 times a week!

so good

 My girlfriend brought me these super fun pillows!

This is our last 2 days of vacation and the kids

start back to school on Monday.

I think were all ready to get back to our normal routine again!

60's Bash....

I'm so excited to be planning my 2nd annual cocktail party again......

Last year I had it during the holidays but this year

I decided to host it in January as this is always 

kind of a bleak social month. 

 Last year it was ladies only and while I know some hubbies 

wanted to join I think were sticking with this rule....

 I'm so thrilled to have a gorgeous dress that a friend found

in a consignment store.....I can't wait to show it to you.

Its vintage 60's which is the theme of the party.

When I first tried it on I got stuck in it and had to wait for the

kids to come home from school and help me get out of it!

Now it fits!

This was last years party and I'm so excited

because I'm down 31 pounds

since this picture.....

This year I'm going for Grace Kelly hair!

I'm planning the food menu to be from the early 60's also

and in my stash I found this vintage cookbook on appetizers

and It has at the bottom of each page the recipe for

the perfect cocktail to pair it with.....

The book is from 1958 and it was so cute because in the introduction

it says I think this cocktail hour is here to stay!

and stay it did.....
