Happy Weekend.....

We left at 4am this morning got into town around 7:30

and we had to be downtown and signing in starting at 8am.....

We made it!

It was exciting to watch Cory at the Geo Bee

 and to see his brother and sister so interested in how he was doing......

Then we made a day of it with the kids...went to lunch

and took the kids to all the stores they have wanted to walk

through and of course I got one store of my choice and since

all thrift stores were a NO, 

I chose my beloved Target.....

It was a lovely family day......and we were so proud of 

how well our little Cory did!

A little birdie told me.....

 Last week While walking through the grocery store I spotted these

sweet little birds.....I'm going to work them into my Easter table setting....

 Now for my leftover thrifting items....I found this sweet little 

vintage beaded cart.

and
This Fire-King milk glass platter.
and
this jadeite glass for 50 cents.

I think it will make a lovely vase.

We leave Friday to drive up to Anchorage for Cory and the 

Geography Bee.....

I'm joining in over here today for some flower fun.

I think my little birds look like little flowers.

I'm praying this snow starts melting fast

so we can see a blade of green grass.....

a sure sign of Spring!

Thrifting in shades of Orange.......

its the perfect addition to my Clementine orange bathroom....

 I don't think I have ever shown you our oldest sons

bedroom.....I found a few vintage treasures for his room.

I felt so bad, the Gas man came today and got stuck in the yard

poor guy I felt so guilty watching him dig and trying to put chains on to get out....

took him an hour or two.....

The Mad Wait is over....

I adore Mad Men and after such a long wait......

I was so excited to watch the season premier tonight.

Where did the week go.....

From field trips to many tea visits my week flew by.

I have to share that I will not be leaving my scraps for my friend

as he has started coming right up to the windows looking in at me

with those sad eyes.......only tree branches for him.

and

I went with Mimi's class on a field trip to the local bowling alley

oh my, I was in charge of 4 kids...one of my little men kept pushing the other 

lanes re-set button.....causing a few little boys to cry so after taking

care of that...... then One from my group 3 times rolled the ball before

the bar went up.....I love the teacher she came over and said

Heidi this is why we ask for parent volunteers to watch for these

mishaps.....and here you are taking pictures of their shoes

they were so cute in there little blue and white bowling shoes.....

My Mimi had a high score of 12.....super fun to watch them all...

memories!

Some puttering around and a trip to Homer.....

 I loved these little chicks...my big purchase from Homer.

 Mimi and I were invited to our little local pottery studio.

 We had so much fun....can you see my bird house in the back?

Well we had fun,

 but I think they were all glad to go back to school......

 I've been off of blog land

all week, and I missed it!

Spring Break half way over......And he may be a she?

 The poor moose are having a hard time this winter, so yesterday I made

a pot of soup and all the scraps I threw out the window

I figured something would eat them.......

 Thank you for dinner...said mr. moose!

 He or she ate until there was nothing left.....

 as he walked away I think he truly is a she.....

 We went sledding yesterday and the kids had a blast.....

On Sunday morning I was sharpening a knife and cut my finger

pretty good I had it glued together which helped.....

Your always so mad at yourself after these things.

Hope your all doing well, I'm sorry I have not had time to visit 

you this week...with the kids home on break

were trying to have something to do each day......which helps

keep the fighting to a minimum!

 I was finally able to see the mountains yesterday....AND

Last night the Northern Lights were out ...just beautiful!

 My friend stopped over for tea on Wednesday and 

brought me these ADORABLE napkins...

I'm a nut for paper napkins, you know!

 I also found this cute little egg....

 and a bunch of these little wooden eggs.....I'll

share more later...they are so cute!

 Floss and now Odd and Old has some for sale

has some beautiful fabric boxes and I found one 

at the thrift store.....so pretty! 

I'm going to use it in the bathroom to keep the

q-tip box in.

the new Spring J Crew catalogue.....

 I had to share some of my favorites...

 the issue was all about color

 and it delivered....

 It was like love...
