It was such a lovely day, sunny and warm.
This was Hidden lake.
We stopped to have a look and then continued on....
We hiked Skilak Lake......
It was breathtaking.....
Lupine here and there....
This part of the trail was wonderful....
Mimi stopping to pose.....
This view was behind our trek up....
I loved this pair of lonely trees....
At the top my boys were waiting for us.....
they loved these gnarled clump of trees....from the winds.
It was so fun and the company was just over the top wonderful to be with!
When we got close to the top there were still a few patches of snow
and MUD......not bad though.
It just made it more fun!
My kids had a blast....and
I hope you all had a splendid day too!
gorgeous scenery! fresh, clean air!!!

Oh how absolutely wonderful! Our Son 1 isn't walking far yet, due to the knee surgery back in January (such a long time...) so I can only dream of family walks, but Ben and possibly Son 2 will be heading up into the Pyrenees for a church walk in a few weeks' time. It will look just a little like Alaska! There's a thought...
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comment. I think I will always associate foxgloves with Pentecost now, thanks to your words! Somehow the flowers look like little flames to me now!
