Save the Date...

I'm so excited to be apart of this event.
Jenny and I have been planning it for a few months now.
I'm excited to purge a lot of treasures that I have left over from the store.....
Now I know a lot of you have done this any advice?

We're praying for a lovely Sunny weekend!

Farm Chicks 2014

I loved these chairs.
But for me, this cabinet stole the show......loved it!
 The displays were inspiring....
I wanted these for my next Mad party....
 Fun and silly items....
There were a few deals but mostly priced like a huge antique store!
How perfect is this oil painting.....
I wanted one of these huge lucite flower pins but they were pricey!

I had a blast!
More to come...

Welcome Summer......

 How are you all doing?
Once again its been a while since my last stop in...
My friend asked me a few months ago if I would do the center pieces
for her dinner theater play she is producing and she didn't want fresh flowers because they wouldn't last three weekends....
So I had the idea of paper flowers.....a big thank you to my friends
who helped Marian, Rachel, Angela and Carroll!
They were way more work than I thought and we had 10 vases
to fill but the end result was worth it.....and we had fun in the process!

And for more news Jeremy graduated high school
Here he is with his best friend!

on another note I leave in a few days to go with a group of friends on
a girl trip to the Farm Chicks flea market in Spokane, Wa.
I'm super excited to spend a day in Seattle also....
I can't WAIT to smell Anthropologie air, ahhhhhhh!!
I'll take lots of pictures to share.

Take care,

Just a quick hello...

Its been almost a month since I took this picture
a group of us went to Homer and this lovely rainbow
appeared for us.....
There is nothing better than a sunny day in Homer
with friends, a little shopping, and dinner!

This quilt was my treat from Homer
I loved them all, I must say it was hard to choose.
They are reversible and all so different...
We had baby visitors at school.
The kids were so cute, they had built pens to keep them in.
I loved the looks on their faces when they hopped right out....

My little Jeremy went to prom again and I can't believe he graduates in
just a couple more weeks.....

With school getting out soon. I hope to be around more again
and catch up with you all.
take care,

Spring fever is setting in....

We have had a lovely year weather wise,
 so I have zero complaints
but I'm still ready for longer days and some warmer weather.
Anybody else ready?

Once Upon a Mad Evening.......Mad Men Style.

Here are a few pictures from last night....
It was a fun evening again.
It's to bad that it only comes once a year.
Katie made a caramel fondue that was too die for.....

and I borrowed a chocolate fountain from a friend.
We had my vintage fondue pots and also some electric pots,
lets just say fondue has come along way!

 Now I will just say,
that my days of Fondue are over in just one night!
What was I thinking, I have never done fondue before and
if it wasn't for Katie, Yumi and Rachel coming early and helping me
They saved the night.

Until next year.....

I can't believe my last post was before Christmas......
This next weekend I'm having my annual cocktail party again.
This year were doing Fondue for our food theme.
For the dress theme this year
I have opened up the 60's.....
from the glamour to the mod end.
I can't wait to show you my dress I found for $6
 I love my Pear martini
but this year I think I might be trying out
the Blueberry/apple martini!
We finished up Valentines day at work.....
The kids were so excited!
Diane remember those Valentines you sent me a few years ago?
We did a Modpodge project  with them in class,
they turned out so cute!

Check out these creative treats that the children brought in.....
I hope you all had a lovely Valentines Day.

More Mad Men photos to come....
take care,
