Thrifting, Baking, blooms and silly crafting.....

I found a fun stack of books at a fun little thrift store up the road.
What language is this?
The little store is called AK Second Hand.
If you get a chance stop in.
This little gingham tray I found there also....cute!
We went to a friends for dinner Monday and I brought dessert
a Strawberry/Rhubarb pie it reminded me of Summer, I know its coming.
Remember my bulbs I planted.......half of them shot up and
the other half are lagging but I love to have this little
bit of green in the house....
I saw these made up on a blog I can't remember which one though
so I  apologize....
They turned out silly though....I'm just not a crafter.
I'm always impressed by all of you!
I thought I'd show the lake from Monday.
Don't forget to get out and have fun this week!

  5. It's French! She's a Breton lady - from Brittany. The title trabnslates, not surprisingly, as: 'Bécassine's Misadventures'. It looks like the publisher is based in Paris from what I can see of the line of text along the bottom. If you want any more translated, I could give it a go, although there will be better French-speakers among your readers! Elizabethd of French Village Life blog actually lives in Brittany but she's moving home at the moment and not blogging much. Have fun!

My mouth is watering at the thought of strawberry/rhubarb pie!
Love the blue/turquoise of your kitchen walls - so fresh against the white woodwork and cupboards, and the yellow chairs look great against it.

Love the way your house looks. It's so cheerful and there is so much to see! Love the covers of the books you found and your spring flowers.

Mimi looks very sweet on the photo :-)!

  16. Haha, I was going to say maybe it is French and then I was going to suggest that "I bet Floss would know"..and she did! I like the idea of using bits of linens to wrap around the glass with the candle..it makes a nice effect, I bet a lace doily would look good too! xo
