My Dream Home.......

I happened upon this lovely blog a week or so ago
and fell madly in love with her home....
It was built in 1818 and it is such a treasure....
I love how they restored it to its original glory....

and the way she has decorated inside and outside
 is amazing!
 I have kitchen envy....

 Look at this view....
 Beautiful Norway.....

I sat and drank a pot of coffee with Phil this morning
and we oohed and awed over every beautiful detail.....

and the view through her windows
is just as breathtaking as the view inside....

Take the time to hop over and
enjoy her lovely collection of blue and white dishes too....

I apologize for not having time to stop by this past week
and thank you for all your lovely comments on my couch.....

I'll be by soon with a visit to each of you and see whats going on in your corners of the world!

Have a wonderful week......

  9. Isn't it just too freakin' fabulous for words?! the thing I can't get over though, is how all you people in freezing climates can have polished floorboards. Pls tell me Heidi, do you have central heating and what is it set to?? Floorboards like that, in this part of the world, get a breeze through from below, surely that can't be the case where you live?? Are they sealed somehow??

  18. Dear Heidi,

absolutely wonderful! I understand why you fell in love with this beautiful house. It has so many nice details. I love the beds, the big bright kitchen and all what I see. Amazing.

Our garden is small. I would wish a bigger garden with more place for roses, other plants, vegetables, salad, trees and naturally with more space for decoration. But I love my garden it is my little paradise. I hope in the future it will be more and more beautiful.
My secret dream is to win in a lotterie and can buy the neighbours house and garden to add it to our small garden. But this is a dream ...

    Have a nice week,
    Tanja

  30. 1818?! Wow! It is such a treasure. After all these years, the house still looks good. The owners really nailed it when they pimped the old house. It really came alive with its new modern look. Their family is really lucky to be able to live in a place like this. Look at that view! Now who wouldn't want to wake up to that every morning?

  31. That view is amazing! I would also love to live in a place as incredible as this. The transformation of the old house is brilliant. I cannot believe a home created decades ago can be made to look new and fresh. They have made it look like a home of the 21st century. Very nice!
