Some Thrifty treasures.....part 1

These are probably the happiest canister set I have ever seen...
look at little Jumbo....
I love this old pottery.....
Have you heard of this pottery before?
these vintage pillow cases are going to be part of a craft project.....
Remember my tree.....well I found these which match.....
I have a plan I can't wait to show you.
this vintage pendant.
This sweet frog.....I have seen one other one before, have you ever seen one?
or know anything about them?
these vintage campfire skewers......
love these old skates....as did Mimi and Cory.
and last but not least my little target bird.

along with this little owl pillow that was one clearance
for $1.78  so cute! Love Target its always such a treat to walk through....

Well It was fun looking through these new finds
and thinking of the fun memories that are now attached to them.

can't wait to show you a few more
along with a pesky moose who wanted to learn to drive!

  2. Yes, I have a few pieces of Frankoma Pottery and my Mom had a set of Western Style dishes made to look like wagon wheels. The pottery was made in Oklahoma.

  3. Love all your finds Heidi, especially the little jumbo, he is soo cute. I love the roller skates, I roller skated everywhere when I was a kid, mine very very similar. The birds are amazing and I am a sucker for anything 'owl'!

    About the frog…is it filled with sand of something? At my parents place there is one of these…bought in Denmark (1980?!)….

  13. What lovely finds! I like the vintage pillow cases, do share what you end up using them for :) I like the little blue bird as well, it is so sweet. The frog is cute, it reminds me of the beanie frogs I use to make as a young child..

  17. What great finds. Those skates too me right back to my childhood. I had of pair of them though my sister had some much cooler roller boots! lol. Those pillow cases are really pretty too.

  27. the little frog makes me think to a little book of Helen Cooper "The tale of Frog", maybe she had such a frog under her eyes when she made this book ... i'm just discovering your blog ... i will come back ! cinthia

    I had a frog like that, as did my sisters, probably late 60's early 70's. I love playing with him! I also had roller skates very similar that I would jump between the cracks in the sidewalk!
